Renaissance Villages’ Murrieta Groundbreaking
We designed Renaissance Village Murrieta to provide state-of-the-art assisted living, memory care and sub-acute care. Matt Driscoll, CED’s Superintendent of Construction shared that the senior living is on-target to complete construction in Spring of 2016.
Murrieta isn’t the only senior living project for CED. They are also constructing another Renaissance Village located in Moreno Valley. Executive Director, Marc Lung, explained the vision for both facilities. “We thoughtfully considered the name. When we talk about the Renaissance period, [we mean] the renewal, enlightenment, and refreshment. We want our line staff, residents and family members to have an active role in operating the building.”
The Murrieta groundbreaking ceremony attracted a variety of attendees. Some of which included city and government officials. Murrieta’s Bruce Coleman said with this new addition, Murrieta is fast becoming the regional healthcare center for southwest Riverside County. He added, “Continental East is a major developer in the community. It’s an honor to work with Al [Rattan] and his staff.”
Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone, Third District, said CED sets the standard for care. He also added Renaissance Village Murrieta is ultimately preparing for the care for ourselves. Jeff said, “These types of facilities are going to be more in demand as the baby boomer generations begin to mature.”
Lastly, with hard hats and shovels, CED staff, city officials and investors shovelled dirt onto a pile. Moreover, this symbolized the officially break ground for the community.
